google_img
Hello. I'm kinda new to PDN, and wanted to know if there is a way to create the INDIANA JONES logo like this one (http://www.photoshopstar.com/effects/re ... xt-effect/) from photoshop. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Simon Brown
Are you specifically talking about the foreground or are you looking to create the whole image?

Simon Brown
1. Install the SF Fedora font (do a web-search). 2. Create a canvas of a large size, on a new layer, set your primary colour to green and write your text in SF Fedora. 3. Use the Tube Oblique plugin to warp the text as in the tutorial you linked to. 4. Use the object outline plugin to give a black outline to the text. 5. Select the inside of each letter while holding down ctrl. 6. Set your primary colour to white and secondary to orange. Click :LinearGradient: :AllColorChannels: and experiment dragging the mouse around several times until you have an effect you like. 7. Using a real image create some leather brushes in a new image. Move back to your image and, on a new layer, draw the shape for the map in black. Then select this image and delete the layer. Then select the background layer and use the custom brushes plugin to randomly add the brushes to the background until it is fully covered and click OK. 8. Find an image of a world map and add it to a new layer, use the tutorial to cut-out the background, apply my silhouette plugin, then use the colourize plugin to colour it brown and experiment with layer blend modes and transparency until you reach the effect you like. 9. Add an image of a hat to the layer between the map and the text, cut out the background (stickied tutorial), apply Black & White effect, and use colourize to turn it brown. 10. Apply the feather plugin to the map and hat layers.

LFC4EVER
Wouldn't it be easier to outline after the gradient has been added? EDIT: You can use the Multi-Colour Gradient plugin to achieve the 3-colour gradient effect Quote ☆★☆★Merry Christmas★☆★☆ .::.My Gallery.::.Make Gold Text!.::.
