WSN Productions
Is there any way of creating a type of effect that mimics Drew Struzan's art? Here is the new poster for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:
spike 121
well if you are good at doing hand-drawn art, then knock your self out, because in the movie theater i was pretty sure it was hand drawn, but i might be wrong besides that, what specific effect? Wither
Hmm... You could do that with bright gradients and Layer Blend Modes (overlay comes to mind for the skull especially). As far as something that makes detailed glyphs or a super detailed skull like that... well... that's where your own artistic skill comes in. Quote YouTube | Myspace | deviantART
Myrddin
spike 121 is right, posters such as that are hand drawn, albeit on a computer with a tablet, but hand drawn nonetheless. There isn't an exact science to this, but is not impossible neither. oma
I could probably manage to do the person. then after I got him done I'd use tint orange tones drop in a layer or two behind with small bits of color gausian blurred to get that glow around him. and then just use inksketch and some film grain. you'd have to play with it for a bit but think it could be done. Ash
Trying to do something like this I assume you have some background in Art? Only 2 words many times over.... practice practice practice practice and time time time time. Start with looking at a real photo of whoever you wanna draw. And use Paint.NET trying to draw them. Not easy at all and there is no step by step method. I did this not long ago.. Andrew D
Plugin's are their to help create art, not to help mimic art. The world's best plugin which is used for art can not match up to artistic skill.
