Unable to open .PDN files [SOLVED - removed .jpg extension]

Recommended Posts

I saved my old artwork i made yesterday on an older patch of paint.net. I saved the file as a .pdn and installed the latest update to paint.net. I now cannot open the file on paint.net or any other image viewing software as they do not recognize the .pdn file format.

Here is the error details:

System.ArgumentException: Parameter is not valid.

at System.Drawing.Image.FromStream(Stream stream, Boolean useEmbeddedColorManagement, Boolean validateImageData)

   at PaintDotNet.Data.JpegFileType.OnLoad(Stream input) in d:\src\pdn\paintdotnet\src\PaintDotNet\Data\JpegFileType.cs:line 78

   at PaintDotNet.FileType.Load(Stream input) in d:\src\pdn\paintdotnet\src\Data\FileType.cs:line 477

   at PaintDotNet.Functional.Func.Eval[T1,TRet](Func`2 f, T1 arg1) in d:\src\pdn\paintdotnet\src\Base\Functional\Func.cs:line 158

Check the file name and extension carefully. I suspect you may have appended a .jpg extension.

Feel free to upload the file if my hunch is incorrect.
