Sven
Often times I work upclose with images and when I get to the edges doing stuff like using the edge of the brush or the gradient becomes really hard since I have to zoom out all the way which makes things a lot less accurate. Ego Eram Reputo
Often requested. It even appears in the list of frequently asked questions http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/2940-popular-feature-requests/ At the moment there is no workaround. It's a limitation of the way paint.net is put together. Montego
I would suggest a temporary increase in canvas size to help with your up close work. Image > Canvas Size... Increase the width and height by a couple hundred pixels, anchored at center. You now have a border to work on. Reduce the width and height to the original size, anchored at center. The border disappears! Just remember this is different than Resize.
