opopanax666
Hey there, First of all, I am not English, I'm Flemish. Secondly, I've been working computers for over 35 years now, so from way before that "localization" stuff started by MS, and I still prefer working in English than any other language. I have to work with a Flemish copy of Windows at work (which I regret), but that can't stop me from installing my programs in English. That is, except Paint.net (4.0.3) apparently... Installer doesn't ask for my preferred language choice, installs it in Dutch, and buries the "Options" somewhere, because I certainly can't find them (probably because I'm not used to seeing the menus in Dutch). So: how do I change the language? And why is it so difficult to do so?
DrewDale
Hello. Here is a screenshot that may help you I am not 100% sure, but I think you will need to re start paint.net for the changes to take effect.

But I stand by my remark that the cog thingy is too "hidden". Every single other production software has a "options" menu-choice, then why not Paint.net? This is a case of wanting to be different for the sake of being different. Totally unacceptable...

That's actually the way a lot of programs are going (Firefox, Chrome, IE, heck even Office uses a little icon nowadays). Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
