WayneD
This program crashes whenever I try to use the text feature, I get the same error message over and over again. can anyone decode this? I am about to try and find the older version because this is seriously aggrivating. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. BoltBait
Physical memory: 509 MB That's not a lot. I'm guessing you don't have enough physical memory to run Paint.NET. I recommend an upgrade to your system RAM to 1-2G. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Bob
I run it with 256MB of RAM. It's a text problem, maybe a font is corrupted? Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. BoltBait
There are so many crash logs pertaining to font issues... If only the crash log showed the currently selected font. WayneD
It's stuck on Ariel ... i cant move it off of that without the program crashing. I removed that file and then the scroll bar opens ... and i can see all the selections, however, once i move that up or down, it shuts down. Rick Brewster
One of your fonts is throwing GDI+ in to a fit. Unfortunately we can't tell which one from the crashlog (it just doesn't tell us). BoltBait
I wonder if a small utility could be written to test all the fonts with GDI+ and report any problems. Anybody know if something like this already exists? Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
WayneD
would it more likely than not be a non-microsoft based font? Im guessing its something conflicting with the .net framework, though not sure, a friend of mine is having the same issue with his photoshop ... so im not sure. ok, i manually had to go through all the fonts i had installed, i figured out which one. sorry all
Bob
What's the font's name? Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
Bob
Boltbait: found on http://www.jivesoftware.com/jive/entry. ... rnalID=861 Resolving this error requires fixing the corrupted fonts. On Windows this can be accomplished using the following steps: 1) Copy all fonts from C:/WINNT/Fonts to a different directory. For example, C:/fonts_temp. 2) Delete all fonts from C:/WINNT/Fonts. 3) Drag and drop (copy) all fonts from C:/fonts_temp to C:/WINNT/Fonts. This copy will reinstall the fonts and detect any corrupt/damaged fonts. After these steps are complete, restart the Agent application or Agent installer. Quick and easy! Quote No. Way. barkbark00
You could do the same thing with PDN. Copy all the font files back to the C:/Windows/Fonts folder one at a time. Then open Paint.net after adding each additional font. Another obvious question that has not been asked, how many fonts do you have? Only having 509mb of memory and trying to load a couple hundred fonts is gonna be a problem.
