felipel2
Hi there, well... i'm a new user to paint.net but i noticed something about the layers, whenever i get a image into a layer and press "Enter" the image is cuted and gets the size of the layer, for example, if i have an image 1800x600px and create a text 18x18px, when i get to edit the size of the layer... it comes to 1800x600px... is there some way to fix it? or it's a good idea for the next version of paint.net? Cya ^^
pdnnoob
The layer's dimensions are the same as the image dimensions...why is this a problem? That just means you have that whole area available for editing. Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. felipel2
Wouldn't be better if we get the 18x18 box for example to edit the text i wrote?
pdnnoob
Well...if you think about it, you have an 18x18 box plus a bunch of space around it to edit your text. The only problem comes when you're trying to edit something larger than your image. When that happens, you just have to edit the thing in a separate image and import it when you're done. Ego Eram Reputo
[beaten by 'Noob - but I will post it anyway...] Nope. Think about it. What if you wanted to add three more characters? 18x18 would be too small. In Paint.NET each layer is the same size as the image. This means we can place an element in a layer and move it around within the layer. We often describe layers as acetate sheets. Stacked together they form the image. It makes sense to have all these 'sheets' the same size.
