alryaz
Hello, I've recently bumped into an issue that causes much butthurt to me. I develop simplistic UIs using Paint.NET and I have a small overlay that helps me drawing them. I put the overlay as my second layer, but when saving it always prompts me whether I want to combine the layers or not. Is there a way to make the overlay a static non-layer grid image? pdnnoob
No, there isn't . Just delete the overlay layer, save, then undo Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. Ego Eram Reputo
It depends on the file format you're saving as. If the file format supports layers, then you won't be prompted to flatten. If the format does not support layers, then you will (always) be prompted. This is by design and tries to reduce the possibility of data loss. Workarounds: 1. Save in a file format that supports layers. 2. Delete the layer prior to saving as pdnnoob suggested. 3. I'm not sure if you still get the prompt if you hide every layer but one. Try it.
