defcon1 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Hello! I'm a new user of Paint.NET, I find it very cool and I thank anyone who contributed to this software However I need to do something and I can't find a way to do it . I have an image in background, and a transparent layer on top of it. I want to apply a blur effect on the transparent layer, so I don't modify the main layer where is the image, and so I can reuse this layer to affect other background images with the same blur effect! Is that possible and if yes, how? Thanks already Quote
BoltBait Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Not possible. Just duplicate the original layer and blur the top copy. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
defcon1 Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 OK.. But is it possible with another software? In fact I need a blurred transparent image, that I can apply in a videogame so it make blur on player's screen (using directx image functions) I would appreciate any suggestions about this, thanks. Wilson Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Probably best to go to a DirectX forum then. Quote
