hikarinami Posted November 16, 2009 Share Posted November 16, 2009 okay well, i downloaed paint.net a few weeks ago and at first i was just experimenting with it, etc. then after a few days, i got tired of the same old boring effects, etc. so i wanted to download a plugin. but when i went to open it, or use it however, i couldn't. it kept saying the image type if not recognized and cannot be opened. i need help please!! also im on firefox and thats where i downloaded it from. You can't open the plugins inside Paint.NET, you have to move them to the Effects folder to use them. Sozo Posted November 16, 2009 Share Posted November 16, 2009 The type of system doesn't matter. If the file is compresses (in .zip format) then expand it. Then drag it into the "C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects" folder. The version also doesn't matter, that folder is there. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
