Hello, all!

I find it pretty annoying that you have to draw with the rectangle tool around the whole canvas

but it's really hard to get it perfect.

The request I'm requesting will render a complete square/circle around the full canvas perfectly.

Install my plugin pack viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22819

To make a square around the whole canvas, do this:

Press Ctrl-A to select the canvas, Effects > Selection > Outline Selection

(Adjust size and color)

For an Elipse, use the circle selection tool to draw your selection, refine with the Move Selection tool, then Outline Selection.

Now, if you just want to draw a circle, make a selection, then use Effects > Render > Polygon / Stars. Just set "Verticies" to maximum. Adjust brush width, select antialiased, and you should be all set.

Boltbait's plugin will make a border for any selection.

In addition there are two plugins made specifically for this render purpose:

Borders N' Shapes- Very advanced tool from pyrochild viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4828&hilit=borders+n+shapes&start=0

Border- Part of asmageddon plugin pack viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21216&hilit=border&start=0

My advice would be to download all the plugins of interest in the plugins forum, saving time by taking note of the "plugin pack" threads.

Good luck
