MISIIM
Hi, I am writing a game involving bombs and I need help designing smoke. It is from an overhead prespective and has to be partially transparent. The image's dimensions are 72*72. I made an attempt using the cloud feature, but it looked terrible. If anyone can help I'd be grateful. Thanks.
HELEN
The best way to make it (at least that's the way I do it), is to draw squiggly lines (about size 20) going the direction you want them to. Go to Gaussian Blur and bring the tick mark to at least 25. You might need to either move it to higher or lower values. It depends how you want it to look. Try this plugin: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26579 Render a circular gradient (see second example in link) (with white in center, black on edges) on its own layer. Run the linked plugin with the black and white option checked. Change layer blending mode to Additive, Lighten, or Screen. Adjust the layer's opacity to taste.
