New: Ctrl+Shift+Page Up/Down can now be used to switch between tabs

I'm just wondering why Ctrl+Shift+Page Up/Down have been used to switch between tabs when the key combinations that people are most used to, for example in their browser, are:

Ctrl+Page Up       Switch to tab to the left
Ctrl+Page Down  Switch to tab to the right

The Ctrl+Shift operations are used for:

Ctrl+Shift+Page Up       Move current tab to the left
Ctrl+Shift+Page Down  Move current tab to the right

The original request at https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/121686-suggestion-ctrlpgupdn-and-ctrlshiftpgupdn-to-navigate-between-tabs-and-reorder-them

was for exactly as I've described above.

Has Ctrl+Shift+Page Up/Down been implemented in error?

If it has, then it would be good if it could be corrected to Ctrl+Page Up/Down asap please? With a possible later addition of Ctrl+Shift+Page Up/Down for Move tab.

Yeah that seems to be a mistake -- I probably read the post too fast. I see now that Ctrl+Shift+Page Up/Down is for reordering tabs (e.g. in Chrome).

Same here. Only after Tactilis post I went to original suggestion post and read it again, twice.

In version 5.0.7 zoom level display shows (px) ScaleFactor.Percentage.Format.
After closing and opening Paint.net, it does show normal percentage number.

Probably just a spurious/temporary glitch. That string hasn't been changed recently.

Thanks for the quick response.

Ctrl+Page Up/Down to switch tabs is so ingrained in muscle memory from use of Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and many other apps with a tabbed interface that it was quite a shock to see that Ctrl+Shift had been used in Paint.NET.

NB. I'm going to submit a separate feature request regarding (optional) behaviour of Ctrl+Tab, with justification as to why it would improve workflow. But it was important to know that Ctrl+Page Up/Down keys will be doing the right thing first.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the update. Idle thought, should we make it a habit to say on release threads, since they're dependable for each version and the PDN documentation strives to be up to date, when it's been updated to mention all changes in the release (in this case, the new keyboard shortcuts)? That convention would probably help avoid anything slipping through.
