Zooming out without antialiasing

Recommended Posts

When I zoom out using the ctrl+scroll wheel (not resizing the image), the finer details of the image gets blurry (I can confirm this by screenshotting and pasting the image). Is there anyway to change this behaviour?

Hi @ITR - welcome to the forum.

When you stretch images, the small details become less obvious because the color information is being spread over a larger area. This is especially so when dealing with small images under a high degree of magnification.

When you zoom out, no, there's nothing you can do.

However, if you are resizing the image using the Image > Resize menu, you can choose the "Nearest neighbor" method and that should do the trick.

Awe, that's a shame. Thank you for the answer ^^
