br945
Need to create a halo or aura behind a face. The image to be used is full length. Only the area behind the face has to be filled up with aura (like saints). Any advice would be appreciated. examples attached. thanks
Pixey
Here is one option: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/25460-wall-light-reflection/?do=findComment&comment=380027 I hope you can zoom in to see the directions. If not, I have a .jpg I can share. Also, please be aware that the forum only allows images no larger than 600 x 800. If you have bigger ones, like your 3rd image, you will need to post thumbs. ardneh
You can use a website to separate your subject from the background.https://photoscissors.com/ Then have your original image as bottom layer, the halo as mid-layer and website provided cutout as top layer. AngeloCochran
I think the pictures are too big to create such an aura, correct me if I'm wrong. If you look at the faces of the saints in https://firstchurchlove.com and compare it to what you want to do, it's not quite what you need. In any case, if you create a binary layer behind the picture and apply glow and then overlay a layer with the picture, it's not bad. But you have to lighten up the edges of the colored image, too, to make the composition whole. Otherwise, the bottom layer will look incongruous under the colored image, not giving the completeness of the picture, as if the glow comes from under the image of a person Edited November 11, 2022 by AngeloCochran
