Are you referring to the glow effect?

If so, duplicate the layer, run Silhouette plugin, invert colours and then guassian blur.

You mean coming from the top?

If so, on a new layer above the picture, do a white filled ellipse, and lower the opacity of the layer to suit your taste.

Looks like you blurred yours after you lowered the opacity.

Instead of blurring it, you could select the ellipse area, and then use a linear or radial gradient (white as primary, and transparent color as secondary) over it, similar to the orb tutorials.

xcrisscrossx, don't hijack other peoples threads. If you have a question/problem, then make your own topic.

But, you can lower the Opacity on a layer by pressing this :Properties: in the Layers Menu, then by Sliding the bar at the bottom to your liking. Left to lower it, right to increase it.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
