TotoFan
How do I determine the dimensions of both selection and rectangle? Is it possible to do this beforehand, that is before I actually draw the rectangle/make a retangle-shaped selection?
pipp92
What do you mean with determine? Quote Personal Gallery
TotoFan
Hi pipp! Let's say, a tutorial tells me: "Create a rounded rectangle with the size; width: 605px and height 50px", than there must be a way to determine these dimensions, no? Hopefully I could make myself clearer now . P.S.: With Selections the same.

TotoFan
Status bar. Verry informative Mr Brewster . You mean by detection of the cursor position? - Btw I love complicated technichal terms 8) . Well, that's what I already figured out myself. But with determination I actually meant setting the relevant values befor creating the rectangle....thingy. Anyways, maybe determination isn't the 100% approprate term. But I'm always willing to learn

TotoFan
oh yeah, exactly *joy*. How could I be so blind  . But am I right, that the same feature doesn't exist for the drawing of a (rounded) rectangle?
BoltBait
It does not. However, you could make a selection the size you want, then draw your rounded rectangle inside of that selection.
