  1. Hi, I would love to give this tutorial a shot, but I constantly get a 404 Error ("Sorry, the forum you requested does not exist"), when I try to use the download-links!
  2. Hi! I want to get a circular object to become transparent in the middle and opaque on (at?) the edges. I tried this with radial gradient in transparency mode, but the result is opaque in the middle and transparent outside. How can I invert the effect?
  3. :o astounding ... so simple and yet so ingneous! Thanks a lot! ----edit: "ingenious" of course
  4. oh yeah, exactly *joy*. How could I be so blind  . But am I right, that the same feature doesn't exist for the drawing of a (rounded) rectangle?
  5. Verry informative Mr Brewster . You mean by detection of the cursor position? - Btw I love complicated technichal terms 8) . Well, that's what I already figured out myself. But with determination I actually meant setting the relevant values befor creating the rectangle....thingy. Anyways, maybe determination isn't the 100% approprate term. But I'm always willing to learn
  6. Hi pipp! Let's say, a tutorial tells me: "Create a rounded rectangle with the size; width: 605px and height 50px", than there must be a way to determine these dimensions, no? Hopefully I could make myself clearer now . P.S.: With Selections the same.
  7. How do I determine the dimensions of both selection and rectangle? Is it possible to do this beforehand, that is before I actually draw the rectangle/make a retangle-shaped selection?
  8. What do you mean "I want more than one copy on that page"?
  9. @ CommanderSozo: Simple but nice. But on the other hand I'd agree with barkbark00 that something's missing... My suggestion #1) Reduce the white portion (because of the bright/dark-contrast) and add a symbol/simple graphical element within the red part (to sort of breaking up the solidity a little) - size: about a sixth part to a fifth. #2) Leave the proportions like this but now add a symbol/simple graphical element within the white part (in order to decrease the dominance of the brightness).
  10. Noooooooo, I composed such a hymn on you and you fooled me with those brush-thingies . Haha, yeah *sigh*... But you did extremely well nonetheless  . Having fancy brushes is no guarantee for a masterpiece. Picking the right colors, brushsizes and everything is crucial. Feel like doing a tutorial for that picture?
  11. Is this a plugin or what? I didn't find any matches for "ultimate brush pack", neither in plugins nor in tutorials. I'd love to have some more brushes handy in PDN .
  12. @ Lego: GOSH! This is BY FAR the best one in the Pictorium!!! How did you do the bug-like looking thing in the middle an all the feathry stuff around? What I like most in this picture (I'm talking about the top one in your latest post of caurse ) is, that it looks so ... artistic and artificial as well somehow - the contrast, the composition of colors, forms and space... Also it has a Resident Evil kind of feel to it. And it's free of any reflection stuff! Don't get me wrong, reflections is a great effect, but I have seen PLENTY of that. And yours is a really unique approach. I can't find words enough. Great work!!! MORE! @ Frozen_byte: You caught the abandoned space atmosphere very well! Very realistic! I'd like to see more from you, too!
  13. I know, BoltBait, I know, but it doesn't suffice. I'll try to attach a picture of an example. Select -> Feather -> Feather Radius 20 pixels -> copy to a new layer.
  14. Are you kidding me?! This is what I've already done!!! But this feather-thingy is not what I need! Let's say I want to change the hue/saturation or what the hack so ever in certain parts of a face. Then in Photoshop I woud select the bright portions of the face (MagicWand), go to selection -> feather: Radius 80 px -> reduce saturation/alter hue. But the feather-effect in PDN is very limited. I makes somewhat smoother edges but that's it. Sorry, but maybe my English is not good enough to make my position clear...
