  1. Welshblue - I really like the simplicity of this piece, creative use of a great plugin.

Sand33p - Stunning work, should be in a different comp, I do feel the loss of size has taken the edge off it.

Tough call, but Welshblue get's my vote on this one.

    score now stands at;

    Welshblue - 1

    Sand33p - 1

  2. nitenurse79, you do a good job as host on here and at the end of the day, people pull through :)

To quote Welshblue here "It's all a bit of fun and some themes will have ooodles of entries and some will scratch around for them"

During my time lurking around on here I have seen some sig of the week comps that I would have not been able to enter, not through lack of ability, but purely because I would not have the initial spark to start me off.

I'm sure that some host's have not entered their own comps in the past, but you always do. I tip my hat to you (that's if I was wearing one)

    New 12 / 06 / 2013

I didn't realise I had not added for sometime, I came up with this thanks to TechnoRobbo's  new LineTracer plugin

Obviously it is not 100% PDN, but I did take the photo and edit it. It gives me the impression of the old style comic books :D

    after1.png

    New 14 / 04 / 2013

Clipwarp once more, and also Red Ochre's new Bevel object plugin. Here

    illusion.png

    New 10 / 03 / 2013

    orbs.png

    A metallic clipwarped arrow.

    pdnarrow.png

    New 04 / 02 / 2013

I really do have to watch my obsession with clipwarp ;) Just created this one by removing the original image and adding a slight gradient backdrop. I don't think anyone is watching over me, but that's the only title myself and "stella" could come up with :|

    wom.png

    New 03 / 02 / 2013

Not really sure what it is meant to be, but it looked cool enough to post here, any ideas as what to add to it would be welcome.

    abstract.png

    New 30 / 01 / 2013

Inspired by an image made by Sasha in her gallery (the fisherman) I used this picture that I took of a disused London Underground walkway and created this one. I gave the station an obvious name too.

    unusedtubestn.png

    New 20 / 01 / 2013

A slightly different version of a comp entry, I liked it so much I decided to add to my gallery.

    glassplane.png

    New creation 16 / 01 / 2013.

Taking some inspiration from Helen, Blackpenny and nitenurse79's examples of clip warp, I created this slice of surrealism.

    woodwork.png

A larger version of a winning entry in sig of the week.

    sig70famoussongs.png

Something new to start 2013 off with.

    metalicrings.png

A couple of images created using Red ochre / Null54's excellent Clip Warp plugin.

    clipwarp2.png

could not resist the re-take on the title for this one B)

    warpularbells.png

A larger version of a sig I was working on, it lost impact once it was resized to 500x150 sadly.

    largersigexample.png

A larger and first version of another work in progress. I ended up removing the background to use as a completed sig.

    largersigexample2.png

Updates as and when, thanks for looking.

  4. Read this rule #11

    11) Don't reply to very old threads. Also known as "reviving" or "resusitating" old/dead threads. Also called "necroposting" (eww). If there has been no discussion in a thread for, say, 3 months ... then it is dead. Do not reply to it -- pretend like it is locked. If you reply to it, then the thread will be immediately locked and your post may be deleted. Please just create a new thread if you have something to say about that subject. However, this rule does not apply to The Overflow, Tutorials, Pictorium, or Plugins sections of the forum.

  5. Tough call. I like everything on penguin dolphin's apart from the blue cat (not really needed IMO) the glow on the circle is really cool though, good work.

rafroller has a great perspective on the font and a really calming background.

    penguin dolphin - 0

    rafroller - 1

  6. DD, (hope you don't mind if I use DD for your username), I see some nice sigs they could be rework to larger sizes, and some people create images but they don't know where to post it.

DD is fine by me :) True about some nice sigs that would work better larger, I would like the idea.

  7. It sounds like a good idea. I would assume though that the max size would still have to follow the forum guidelines ? (eg-800x600)

The only problem I could see with this kind of comp is with it being an image battle, it would take longer for people to come up with an entry.

I think sigs are easier to come up with, but that's just my 2 cents. ;)
