  1. When they are distorted it makes it harder. 1: looks like kozuka mincho 2: ?
  2. Never seen that tiling plugin. Who has it wb? For the first question. You can use that image if you want that exact tire, but it is from the side view slightly. It would need to be fixed with perspective. I found this image and did a quick example. It's small so you can't use it. You need to learn it and do it. http://postimg.org/image/4ybxtjrx1/
  3. Right up my alley way. This is rather simple. Search for a free image of a tire tread you like. Make sure it's royalty free. Make sure it's as close to direct looking at it as you can. Use the seamless texture plug in vertical. This way the tread will repeat when you place it on the outer faces of your mesh. Make a black and white copy of it in inverted. Use this for the bump map. You can add dirt with the cloud plugin set to trasparent and a brown color. Make it small and rotate it every so often when you apply it so as not to make an obvious repeat. Good luck. If it doesn't need to look exact, you can use something like the maze plugin. Also, make sure to increase contrast on your bump map.
  4. Rainbow? What a funny term. Nice one miners clap clap clap. I agree that you should post it in the tuts section. Nice use of the gravity plugin.
  5. The printer settings are on your local machine. You need to become familiar with that. You should see the options link on the panel http://postimg.org/image/gndq979pd/
  6. It would be better for you to provide a link to the image in question. Better insight can be obtained when viewing what is to be fixed. Many members here can provide a wealth of help. Some things may not be possible.
  7. Do you know how to upload and link it so we can have a look see? That would be step one.
  8. Try the clouds plugin and erase a portion of it. Copy what is left a paste to a new image. Make a new layer. Go back to the cloud and reverse what you erased to make a new shape. copy and paste it above the new image on layer two. Make about 4 layers with new cloud shapes. Blur, drop shadow, replace colors with bright whites on top and darker blues or greys on the bottom. It's good to go wild and create. You never know what you can figure out, until you give it an honest try.
  9. You can also use a drop shadow on text with a complementary or contrasting color, or the standard dark grey.
  10. Try this. I can't do it theway you did, i'm not you. This is how i did it. http://postimg.org/image/8o399xpr3/ Different sized circles. http://postimg.org/image/qsk1zsrkv/ select that area and create a new layer. Hide the second layer keeping it on the 3rd layer still selected. http://postimg.org/image/ahsekmbtz/ As the astute EER said, use a gradient with a transparent for color two. http://postimg.org/image/cmz9ymfc5/ Is this what you intended?
  11. One of the fine plugin developers has made one makes shiny buttons that places text and the ability to change it to any font on your system. I do not remember who made it though. Found it. It's in the Madjik pack.
  12. @ Visual. I look forward with bated breath to how you're going to help the OP out. Put your money and all that ... Do you doubt my integrity? Et Tu Brute? Everything always comes down to what you actually do with proof, and less what you tell others with lip service that you will do some day. Look at how many first round mouth pieces get in signing bonuses, but end up doing nothing in results for the team. Talk less, do more. This is what the world needs more of.
  13. They shouldn't have to respond to this since it's not really related to pdn. If you can get me the image and some of the color codes you need them to be, i may be able to get you what you want. Either use 00ff02 or 125 34 245 so i can get a good match. I have ps and can save it in so many options. I think 50 million dollars should be payment enough?
  14. I saw something like this many years ago. When you actually look through binoculars the image is round. Try for yourselves. This made me laugh.
  15. That would not be a good thing. You may close an image that you overlooked at first. For everything there is a reason.
  16. This seems easy to me. Why not get a separate machine with windows 7 or xp to be able to work with ps? I'm a fan of both paint programs. They each do their own thing and have their own strengths. I have and use 2 machines with more on virtual machines. The cost for good desktops has fallen to a point where its a no brainer. A small investment for real computing power.
  17. I like the expirementation. I do not like reading the offensive tones of some of the comments i will not exibit. You need to fill the brains with your experience, rather than to insult this as too basic. Crawl before you can run 100 yards in 9 seconds. Good job.
  18. Careful not to offend those who would offer assistance. There are many members than can offer very good advice. Please be patient. I can also add at a point. I use other 3d software programs more these days, but i rely on this program for final touches. Not everything in life is about what you want when you want it so it fits your schedule.
  19. Noise removal is the best for my observation. I set it down to radius at 10 and .20 to .50 You can also use a selection circle and hit that area with a wee bit of blur. It has helped me quite a few times doing this. You can circle select copy/paste to a layer above add blur and then adjust layer properties to blend it.
  20. If you search you can find a freeware named unfreez gif creator. You can save a line of gif images and drop them in. It will save it as an animated gif. The bonus to this is you can remove as much dithering as you want before dropping them in. The file just gets a bit bigger in size. If you can't find it let me know, i still have a copy.
  21. I can confirm this. See if they can save you an srgb of it which is usually used to save for web pages. He probably saved it as 1998 rgb or cmyk.
  22. I remember back to xp themes. Not sure if this applies to win 7. There was a default color in the red channel that was used as the transparency and it was a bmp. You had to make sure that you used the correct settings eg 0fff23 or 125 109 45. I just made these colors up, but maybe it will help you figure it out.
  23. It comes down to images per minute. If whatever you're using is set to 15 fps to show the images, either set it to 10 or add more images in between the transition.
  24. If i may add. This is an important point he just told you. I always save a master of something as a pdn and when you decide to make changes and save it in whatever format, you'll always have something to go back and adjust. I used to punch myself because i would flatten and save it and close pdn. When i wanted to change it again i realised that it was now time to start over. Trust me and save a master copy as a pdn.
  25. I do pretty much the same thing miners. I would actually paste your selection above to a new layer and use a large circle in liquify and push it sideways across the page. I have found the just stretching will mostly create pixeling. I guess that's why the crystalise? Everything else is spot on in my book.
