  1. Helen, skullbonz, Yellowman, Pixey, Blackpenny & DrewDale, many thanks for the positive feedback. :)

It wasn't too dificult to do. Very basically:

Madjik's 'random lines' on transperent layer.
'Objectedges' to get a tone gradient across the lines.
'Dents' - just a tiny distortion.
Duplicate layer - Dents again same setting, and keep doing this about 5 times.
    Merge down to one layer.
Copy a blurred image to the clip board.
Run clipwarp on the distorted lines layer to give them a metallic look.
Then lots of messing around with shadow layers and some more distortion with 'squirklewarp','shape3D' and 'liquify'.

  2. The thumbnails down to 'lonely orb' are fine, but the ones from there down still don't work for me.

I think I do my thumbnail links differently to most people but I would start by clicking on the switch in the top left corner of the edit tool bar and take a look at the BBcode - does it look the same as the code that still works?

  3. ClipWarpers anonymous! - "my name is Red ochre and I'm a clipwarpaholic"

Dead End is brilliant - just works really well - could be the opening title scene for a 70's horror film. :star:

I think the first version of Cameo might work better with a slightly textured background instead of the straight black.
Try adding grey noise then splinter blur to it, to get a dark canvas feel?
The second version makes me think the background should be winter and the letters summer, but unless that's your mansion it could be difficult to get the photo!
    - Both good images though.

(Blackpenny - love the new sig)

  4. Sasha, NiteNurse and Drew, Many many thanks for the compliment - the most rewarding thing is seeing what great images you are all creating!

Blackpenny - wonderful images particularly the second one, very inspiring! :star:

preet5, Helen, Pixey, BBQ & Yellowman - thanks for the support.

I've been a bit lax in responding to peoples individual galleries lately (sorry) - I've been trying to add some form of smoothing to the plugin. I'm not there yet, so no promises. ;)

  5. Second to last looks best to me - thanks for illustrating superkingt. :star:

I would suggest "under: Effects/Distort/Cats" rather than Installed_Location because it is shorter and new users may be looking for a 'Distort' folder inside the 'Effects' folder, to install the .dll into.

As for all the extra work EER will have to do - perhaps just add the info as new plugins are added. - Rome wasn't built in a day!

It may be useful to show the date the plugin was published too. The next priority, IMO, would be to go through the plugin packs and make sure there is a seperate entry for each of the plugins. Try looking up 'Bevel Selection'. (fortunately we all know who is to blame for that one!  ;)  )

What would be useful (and a pain to create), would be a simple list of .dll names and what effect/pack they relate to - common and oddly named .dlls especially.

Perhaps built in effects could be shown black with 'built in - no .dll' by their entry.

I think it would be sensible to request this information in the plugin rules. It wouldn't hurt to request that plugin authors edit their plugin threads to clearly show this information and make EER's life a little easier.

EER - Well done for keeping these lists updated!

(I really wish 'Which Symbol Plus' was under 'Text Formations' not 'Render', where it sits 6 inches below the screen!).

  6. Hello Ventor1 - glad you're having fun with the plugin! :)

I am a bit confused by the 'problem' you describe.

Once the plugin has been run it cannot have an effect on what you do afterwards - unless you run it again.

My guess is that you have put the black rectangle on the lowest layer and have 2 copies of the red H object on layers above this?

If I have misunderstood please report back.

Nice letter H by the way!
