I'm not sure what you want, but I've done something similar and selected each letter and moved it into position. Then move the entire image into the posisition you want .(using move selected pixels).
-
I agree with Oma,give it a try. This is the first tute when I began to understand using layers, resizing and moving selected pixels.I never got around to thanking you before,so thanks Oma

Yes there is a color picker tool in the tools.Looks like an eye dropper, works fine.
-
This plugin needs to be installed in the File Types folder.
Thanks Sarkut, that's what I've been doing wrong then.
Nope, tried that.Still not showing up in program.

The link there is the old forumer link, this is the link you should use http://forums.getpai...e-22-agif-apng/
I've downloaded and installed the plugin but I can't find it in effects. It does appear in the pdn effects folder but not in the program.

I think you will just have to mess about with different tolerances in magic wand.Delete step by step or look at the tutorials for cutting out images. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/13796-cutting-out-images/.This is one of them but there are a few techniques you could try.
-
Ill give it a try, thanks ^^
Being new to pdn you might want to look at the tutorials as well
-
Not sure I understand, but you don't use the magic wand to fill with colour you use the paint bucket.
-
Save as png for better quality
-
yeah but useing the line tool and deleteing the line id be losing the pixels that make up the line say if line is 1 pixel thick deleting it to separate would make it a whole row that the pixels would be missing making the whole piece shorter than when i started
Don't use the line tool.Use the selection tool then Move selected pixels

You won't leave it,will you? Are you a traffic warden?

Oi, enough about teachers ok?
There are times when rules need to be followed & times when they can be changed or ignored. Wisdom is knowing when to do each. I have rules that are non-negotiable & others that are.
Ipswichmanc, that was most unkind & I'm rather disappointed. Push the bed against the wall... If you want your art to improve then there are rules that apply to elements of composition. Methods of working are like rules too. You might get better just by chance...
Rules ensure that everyone has a positive experience. For example, posting in the right section - imagine what a mess to navigate through, let alone perform a search for a question. Searching for previous answers - because we'd rather spend time creating that typing the same answers over & over & who in their right mind would want to be a mod?!
EER's comments to newcomers are gentle & to the point. A good example to follow esp. when he links back to the rules in question. Very good teaching & the advice is generally well taken.
Suggestion: A welcome email that explains the rules? No guarantee they will read them. Maybe make it that they have to agree to the terms? Not sure how hard it would be to implement this.
Rules should follow the KISS method. Yes, humour too - still thinking about that staple gun
Yes I agree Barbie.sorry,a little too much to drink I think. But I did apologise

Sorry,Happy new year to everybody on the forum.I have learnt so much from the tutorials and hope to keep getting better without reading every single rule.Anyway, happy new year to all the mods, especially the grinch Pyro, keep up the good work.

Enough Said,but he started it.

You could start with getting a life,I think the mods are on top of rule breaking.

Around here we don't bite the Newbs. Count the posts.
From what I can see, the effect is rather unique. noahintergalactic has done a pretty good job explaining it too.
@noahintergalactic:
This is what you need to do to fix the screenshots:

There is a grid/checkerboard maker under effects/render.not sure if it's a plugin. You could look in plugin index.
Yes it's part of madjyks plugin pack http://forums.getpai...?showtopic=7186
Then use rotate/zoom to make floor.
-
It might be worth while you cutting the image out instead of using the magic wand ... http://forums.getpai...ing-out-images/
Thanks Welshy, you're right.first time helping out forgot to mhttps://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dsgjq79_15hdnjpzv6ention the various ways of removing backgrounds.this is a good one.
-
Well I'm quite proud of myself.....
I tried the steps as explained and I was able to reproduce what Ipswichmanc showed above....
My results are virtually identical so I'm not going to post them up.....
However, is there a way to try and integrate the woman a bit more into the background?
Just so she looks as if she is emerging from the background????
Is that possible or am I trying to fight above my weight here?????
Really appreciate the help so far...
Regards
Greg
Not sure what you mean .you could make the girl a bit transparent I suppose.you will find that under adjustments.
