  1. WHOA!! i got a sticky Good work Cazaron, great to see some people breaking the norm
  2. This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it Moderators note: images have been rehosted by Remake Okay now this is a texture i have been developing for a while now, it has major use of clouds and difference. Plugins needed Curves+ Optional Flip Horizontal/Vertical This is what you'll end up with 1. Run clouds on approximately these settings 2.Open Curves+ and change it to Advanced. MAke sure its set to IN:Luminosity and OUT: Alpha. Then set Make the line go like this 3. Duplicate layer and motion blur at around 50, centred unchecked and change the angle value to your choice. 4.Set blend mode to difference 5.Merge layers and open curves+ again move the line to about here now Okay now this is your first cloud layer. The whole texture is made up of these layers what we want to do is keep making these by repeating steps 1-5. In the picture above i have 8 cloud layers. TIP: When a preview of clouds comes up, the more black the better, if it has really little black, reseed it. Use flip Horizontal and Vertical to position your cloud layer so it covers the whole picture evenly. 6. Add a new layer and put it at the bottom, paint bucket fill the whole canvas in a really de-saturated colour OR for the noobs, pick a bright colour and go to adjustments> Hue/Saturation and set saturation to between 30-40. UPDATE: really saturated colours look cool aswell. Hope you enjoyed it, and post your outcomes.
  3. I'd love for you to, that'd be great to see

  9. Yer there pretty good, keep up the good work.
  10. Great Plugin Boltbait, but the result is a little heavy dont you think, could you possibly adjust it (mabye i'm asking too much) so that the whole picture becomes really dark and hard to see. I'm forced to use the tutorial instead. EDIT: Notice Simon Brown put in the ™ in his reply title. How did you even notice that?
  11. new sig to commemorate my 500 post count yay....well soon
  12. Okay from memory heres how you do it. 1. above your planet on a new layer draw some squiggly lines in a small area, the more lines the denser the rings. 2. run radial blur on quality 5, and distance 360. 3.duplicate layer a couple times until it become more visible then merge them so they become one layer. 4 Run layers>Rotate zoom, and adjust the ball so its at the right level. 5. get the eraser out and erase the bits that should be behind the planet. 6. run curves or curves+ and got to RBG mode and fiddle around till you get your colour.
  13. Did you use any stocks except for the girls? If not thats really really good

  18. X-NET Blog Smooth Systems Comes out with a surprising new Handheld computer with state of the art OS Xavier Riam reporting: Long time competitor of Microsoft, Smooth Systems has come a long way since 1995 when they released their first PC with built in OS. Now they have come out with handheld computing device with a scaled down version of their widely popular, Xo-vision operating system. The new handheld, touch screen device, entitled “DAMAGE”, is likely to impress when it is released to stores a week before Christmas. But luckily, the team at X-NET have managed to get a limited edition prototype from the company and give it a test drive. Whether you’re a complete computer boffin or a busy corporate employee, DAMAGE is for you. It is totally compatible with Xo-vision, Microsoft and Mac systems. 4 integrated USB ports for flash disks can port everything from program data, pictures, music, video and a wireless internet receiver. It has 2 mono audio outputs, and quite surprisingly a DisplayPort output. So you can link up your DAMAGE to a display monitor. On board it contains 2 GB of RAM with a Pentium 4 processor*. Nvidia has also custom created a Video card for the system. This device is capable of playing almost any game without any trouble, I recently ran Oblivion on here and it did a magnificent job. Another groundbreaking feature is the new SpaseSavr™ touchpad keyboard that divides the English alphabet into two parts. A-L, and then switchable to M-Z through the Switch button. At first it proved a bit odd to use, but after a couple days I was writing up some of this review on a bus quite fast indeed. Overall I give this 9.5 out of 10. Everything from the custom themes, to the fact that it felt just like a really tiny laptop that ran incredibly fast was just superb. I would recommend anyone with a spare $350 to go out and buy this wonderful product when its released. Here's some pictures....WHEELY BIG ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Just to clarify, any computer specs that seem unrealistic is probably because they are. I know a bit about computers but I'm 13 yrs old dont expect me to know what processors dont fit into where and what not. Okay out of context now. This took me about 12 hours over about a 4 week period. Plus the half hour to write up the "FAKE" blog entry. Well done everyone else for creating such great designs. Stocks: Pdn logo, Blender logo. A portion of Smooth Explorer icon from Expirations Icon Pack. Vista sample picture All other stocks where taken from still images of this video.
  19. My advice is try and make it looks artistic by adding some soften portrait and vignnete. Make it look as if you've done it on purpose.
