Search for a picture of Iron Man. Copy it and paste it into Paint.NET
Then use the color picker tool (click 'k') and click on one of the gold areas that you like. Bam! You got gold color!

Wow, I love the grass! It looks pretty realistic!
Hmm... the face in the grass reminds me of Jerbert ...
-
Why don't you just take a picture of Iron Man and use the color picker to extract a color from the picture?
-
I remember reading this PS tutorial where someone was asking how to even create a plain old 1px plain line! It was pretty hilarious ...
-
Wha ... ?
I don't get what either of you are saying!
Enlighten me please.

Nope. It's just a more appropriate name for it. For some reason, "Outline Object at a high softness-y lines" doesn't quite cut it.

Man, your pictures are awesome!
Duality looks awesome, and so does the wiki concept.
I also like your 3d text
I wish I knew how to do your text effects
Thank you! I appreciate your comments.
As for the 3D text, I just followed Jake2k's 3D text tutorial.
Wowa Energy it's pretty wild man nice workThanks Miguel!
Wow! and when i mean wow i mean it some really good work here ide love to be that talentedlove the orb with the man inside its great!
keep it up
Thank you Simple.
Expiration, you are doing a great job in Paint.NET. Your new piece is quite something. I've noticed the new "rings" around the bubble. How do you get the glowy, red rings to fade towards the end (similar to the "simulate brush stroke" or whatever feature in Ps)?Thanks Drew. For your question, are you talking about the glowing lines in my sig? If so, the secret is transparency gradients ( :AlphaChannel: ).
Also, don't expect a lot coming from me in the next few weeks. I've got a ton of homework and projects to do, and I've got designer's block as well. So ... yeah. I might have some small works in between, but nothing amazing.

Tut. Nao.

What the ...
That looks strangely awesome!
-
Updated my sig and avvy, added some glowy line things, richer colors, etc ...
-
The source code. (I think)

Another solution is to expand the Canvas Size (not Resize) to the size of the paper using the "inches" section at the bottom.
This will make the printer print at the picture's normal size.

Ash, like many (i hope) of us here, including myself, is Chinese.
-
Yes. Yes it does. 8)
Well, off to bed for me! Hope to see another great work in your gallery by tomorrow morning! (I'm sure there will be one (or more))
-
(Good memory BTW )
Ah, thank you.
Also, just out of curiousity, why do you always italicize my name Ash?

For the text, my guess is that he wrote the text in black, duped the layer then inverted the colors and moved it up and to the right one pixel, and put this layer under the black text layer. Then he Rotate/Zoomed the 2 layers to get it to match the angle of the metal, and then maybe played around with transparency and blend modes.
As for the tree trunk thing, he wrote a tutorial about it on these forums I think.

Heh, I wonder where you got that from.

I really like all of your work, you have a lot of potential! Keep working at it, you will go very far!
-
You never do things by halves... everything looks perfect, clean and very difficult :o)
Ha! You fell right into my trap!
Anyways, thank you very much!
Energy looks fantastic! , I first noticed it in your sig, but since I saw the larger image...Great work!
Well, actually, the Energy in my sig is different than the Energy in my gallery. After creating the one in my sig, I wasn't satisfied and I remade the entire thing from scratch (besides the stock photos, of course). Thank you!
-
Yep, its in my gallery.
Instead of posting the link, you lure me into your gallery... clever ;D
That, and I'm currently too lazy to fetch the links. And I didn't have time, I posted that in the morning before I left for school.

Actually, Blooper used the Noise and Median technique in his How to Make Grunge Brushes community tutorial. It reminds me of the plasma effect from GIMP (I think).
Is there a gold color on Paint.NET?
