  1. This is about 15 layers and it would takes another 5 - 20 to perfect the look.
  2. Creating a glassy looking board requires a lot of thought. Layering and gradients are huge factors in doing such a project and you should think about incorporating a massive number of layers to accomplish this. The typical shine you refer to would be surface reflection via white gradient sharply edged and somewhat random. What you ask is no quick or easy feat, at least not for something that appears realistic. I will see if I can do this But ash has produced some glass blocks in the pictorium you should look at in his latest flower piece.
  3. I like that fire and ice theme hell fire. Great work salu.
  4. My early stuff was shoddy ? Practice makes more better they say ( US Department of they Circa 1776) Seriously though If it werent for the incredible plugins that you and others make Id be farther behind. You guys help make every piece I make. I am a lifer of an artist If i didnt have this id have a rock and a twig and Id figure out how to make ash trays or something. Its part of the DNA in me. This is the first program I have ever don on a pc for art so the beginnings were ,,, well , a learning curve of sorts. I thought these would make great ideas for the 3d web initiative after my second piece which represents a closed site. Pushing on the center orb would activate the DB queries from the other orbs and become the first pic I posted. If I knew how to code Id have a pretty good plug in collection amassed by now instead of all the art. Thats why you guys have your names on every piece I do. Maybe I should do an OS skin with this for the competition.
  5. I really like the idea youre getting at vlad. The glass sphere and abstract chrome twiwst is cool , just need to get that chrome worked out and it will be some amazing stiff. Trying a quick emulation of igmac's "Envy".
  6. Ok, just suggestions; after all it is your vision you persue not anyone elses. Either way I am one of the few who are always supportive of people seeking their own methodologies and visions.
  7. Outstanding patterns janet. Vlad when you do the metal parts think about subtle gradients , not so bold and layering the gradients to achieve a subtlety that will create a good chrome effect. Aside from that I think something unique want to come out in that style of sig making , You have my support.
  8. 100 percent Verndewd PDN.This stuff is a lot of work PDN crashed and killed this whole project. everything but the remdered png's is gone.
  9. Squeezed pumpkin? Hmm maybe.looks like a blonde paintbrush to me.
  10. which part? there are 4 main parts.3 that would be obvious to any PDN user. I thiunk Ash did a tut on making a paint brush, I was sure somebody had . I didnt use the tut.
  11. For fun I decided to try a paintbrush without the prescribed tuts. This is intended to be rough looking.
  12. Looks like a pitted metal sphere to me like a ball bearing that rusted badly and was polished,or has a lot of impurities ; give it a copper color and it would look almost exactly like a copper sphere i saw recently. very cool.
  13. Looks like chalk. Good color work for making it look like that. Salu the sig is very vibrant. Nice.
  14. Now that one has promise aside from looking cool. Not sure how long it will take But I think your siggies will become very interesting.
  15. love that second one. The hand is coming along very well too.
  16. Moon in the clouds can appear rather flat , but i do agree he should tune this one up to a relative major. Here is the base of my newest orb  It began with a grid and drop shadow.
  17. Great work Madjick. Ash I like all of my work ! ( but then I have to live with myself too )
  18. 2 things actually try to keep the post at 800x600 or under. And think about using cylinder with ball end in shape 3d. for the finger tips. and post after major phases of completion rather than every addition. Aside from that just keep developing it. so far its great.
