  1. If you installed Paint.NET from the Microsoft Store, the instructions for adding plugins is slightly different: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html#4
  2. This should be fixed in v4.2.13. You can find the testing release here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/116743-paintnet-4213-alpha-build-7497/
  3. The proper translation is "Paste into New Image". Sorry, you can not add it to the toolbar. However, you can use the keyboard hotkey: Ctrl+Alt+V
  4. I think the standard two weeks would give people enough time to produce quality entries.
  5. It doesn't exist on the forum anymore (ain't that shame). You can find it on archive.org though: https://web.archive.org/web/20080410232319/http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=23576 It would be cool if someone posted a modernized re-write of it.
  6. Not bad. Thank you. Here's the Taskbar shortcut with the custom icon: Note to others interested: It seems the Windows 10 Taskbar uses the "wrong" icon size. It chooses the 32x32 icon size, and then downsizes it to 24x24.
  7. Ideally, yes. At 100% DPI, Windows 10 uses 24x24 icons for the Taskbar. Windows 7/8/8.1 use 32x32 icons.
  8. If the layers weren't saved, then there's nothing to load them from.
  9. @wojti.j Can you produce a variant that is 24x24 (preferable based on your first image), so I can use it in my Taskbar?
  10. It can happen if you manually change the extension in the Save dialog, rather than choosing the format from the dropdown. Sounds like you've overwritten it with your JPG.
  11. You may have messed with the file extension when saving, so your .PDN file may actually be a JPG image. Please try to change the file extension, and see if it will open. Ex: myImage.pdn -> myImage.jpg
  12. It still works just fine in the current version of paint.net. What makes you say it didn't work?
  13. The documentation for Roblox clothing is here: https://developer.roblox.com/en-us/articles/How-to-Make-Shirts-and-Pants-for-Roblox-Characters
  14. Looks like you have an installation of paint.net that has become broken. Use this utility to remove the broken Paint.NET installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
  15. Sorry, there is not. Plugins can't add/modify Tools. Maybe if you told us what options you want, we can find an alternative solution for you.
  16. Correct. The index is manually updated with new plugins. None of it is automatic. That's not an accurate/reliable way to track plugin updates. There are plenty of reasons to edit a post besides uploading a new plugin version. For example, fixing broken links and images, fixing typos, ect.
  17. I got too hasty in my response. You probably don't have crash dumps enabled. However, you can still show us the basic details of the crash. In Windows Search, type in "View all problem reports" and press Enter. Right-click on Windows Explorer crash details and click "View technical details". Copy and paste here.
  18. Is there a crash dump for Explorer you can look at to determine if it really was the shell extension?
  19. If you're willing to put in the work, I can give you a copy of the Index. If/when you've done the work, we make your changes official (as long as @Ego Eram Reputo is fine with that). Updating the version number once a month is easy, but initially adding all of them is the difficult part.
  20. How would the Plugin Browser know that information? There's no centralized update manifest for plugins. Would you like to create and maintain one?
  21. Brush support should be coming sometime within the v4.3.x series. Keep an eye on the Paint.NET blog for future updates. https://blog.getpaint.net/ In the meantime, you can also use the Brush Factory plugin. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/110673-brush-factory/
  22. There's an alternative that I like much better called Selective Palette. It's not clear what you mean by manual input, but you could try Hawkynt's 2D-ImageFilter Library.
  23. You need to ask the people you got the file from.
