I would'a voted for that...Unused sig made for the SOTW but never entered:Yeah, and that's what kills me. Oh well, it was a lot of fun to make.
Nicely done Wither!

Couple things:
1. I like it.
2. Possibly have a "100% PDN" category...or an "Edited Photo" category...? There's issues with that, but... :?
3. I like the idea of each user having a thread to show off their stuff. That way if I only care about pictures that Madjik creates, I not only don't have to sort through five billion other posts, but I'm also notified when he posts something.
4. It may be difficult for a new person to gain exposure...the av/sig combo would be come critically important. It would encourage people to look at their pictorium thread.

bloody potato bloody potato bloody potato!
I had every intention of entering a sig into this weeks competition...I spent literally hours on it...and then was suddenly called away to visit my girlfriend. By the time I got back Sunday, not only was it past midnight, but I was tired and distracted cause I had a test at 8 AM the next morning. AH!
So incredibly disappointing.
Well, for what it's worth, even though it's late...here's what I got.

bouquet anyone?
This is an excellent use of Polar Inversion Plus (if I'm not mistaken).
Even Bolt Bait couldn't be upset if presented with these
tru dat.
Excellent job! That is pretty amazing imho...

Post Scriptum: I don't want to be boring, but I have something to say about the use of the Pictorium. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that it should be a collection of the best pictures from the PdN users community, and possibly comments on them. A guest visiting it should say: "oh, what beautiful things you can do with PdN!". An exibition of the power of the gradient tool with enormous, useless pictures or debating on which tool is more powerful pollutes the Pictorium. I think we all should avoid pollution, if possible. Thanks.
I missed this part of your post, and I Agree with this.
New comers can come in and see just what PDN can really do, usually will make them want to try PDN even more.
I would disagree. Why not create a thread called "PDN Showcase" or something and let the mods populate it with what they believe are the best photos? People need a place to say "hey look at what I made! :)" and I think the pictorium is that place.

I agree aile...it's pretty amazing. Some of the submissions are pretty intimidating...oh well.
I've still got a little something up my sleeve...
(careful, he may be armed...)

Speaking of rules...Andrew D!
This iz my go @ it....100%PDN
100% ORIGINAL
Read the rules please.
Also, how did you manage to get that effect out of curosity?
That thread is for submissions only!!!

Welcome, Richard. Nice name.

Would a transparent gradient be what you're looking for? :AlphaChannel:

Eh...not so much. Why have awesome tools if you don't use them? Might as well draw in MS Paint... :?

*dies a little bit inside* :?

Very nice! And I love the humor. Bookmarked.

I think the more plugins you have, the longer Paint.NET takes to load. That's been my experience, and the only thing that's ever slowed me down.
-
It is...it's actually a lot more fun than I envisioned.

I'm looking to enter my first SOTW since...well...longer than I care to remember. I've got something that looks cool but it doesn't have that extra special something that makes it awesome. Well...back to the drawing board. :?

@All: thanks...
@pyrochild: I appreciate your remarks as my english could show some lake of good sense. I will change the UI labels...
MadJik...your English makes me smile. A lot. "lake" of good sense...? Brilliant!

+invert colors. Plus, I used my least favorite font. :-P
Good...I was starting to worry.
-
Okay, added a person into the sig:
(Dark Samus; Metroid Prime 2, and Prime 3)
Not so much. :? I like the non-person one better.
And david...random lines + polar inversion?
-
Well, I was planning on keeping this one a secret till the end of the week [sOTW], but I gave in
Hot. Ness.

I echo pyrochild's sentiments. Otherwise, awesome!

A touch of Redial blur.
"Redial" blur? Classic!

@Ash and Madjik: Amazing! And Ash, I could tell who it was before I clicked on it. Nicely done!

True true...I guess I was thinking of people like me who don't read absolutely every post...just ones I'm interested in.
