  1. it my look bad with it, but it looked worse without it...
  2. Thanks guys. I'm not sure why I stuck with the 8-ball though....I don't even play pool, hehe.
  3. RaveN, I forgot about that one. I should probably change my post to say "the 2nd easiest way to do this is:" Hehe
  4. Hellfire010, I'm talking about the "skew" from MS-Paint...Thats what I want! Illnab1024, Great! let me know when you post it...
  5. easiest way to do this is: Step 1 - Make a new layer and fill with white. Step 2 - Use the rectangle selection tool and cut the 3px section on each of the sides. Step 3 - fill the empty area with red. Step 4 - Use magic wand selection tool and delete the white area that is left over.
  6. I think I was misunderstood. I have no problem resizing images or selections of images. What I need is a way to skew an image or selection... Here are some pics if its not clear what I am talking about. Just to be clear, this is impossible with the "Roll/Rotate" part of the "Rotate/Zoom" options.
  7. Press F1 in Paint.NET and that will bring up the "Help Topics" browser. It is very basic and gives you a good idea of what all the basic options will allow you to do. BTW...the "Tutorials" section for for posting tutorials. Any request can be made in the "General Discussion" forum here --> http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=12
  8. This is what I was thinking ^^ I did a search to see if this was requested before and this is all I got...http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=10491&highlight=#10491 Is there any chance that something like this will be implemeted??
  9. CMD, to keep from going even further off topic, I'm going to agree to disagree...
  10. CMD, maybe you missed this... If you look at the post in the "Pictorium" he says nothing about "touching it up" in PS. That admission alone is justification for my comment.
  11. Hey Raven, I found your visualization remake in the "Pictorium"...you know that place where people post stuff they made in PDN. I like how you again posted something in the PDN forum and tried to pass it off as 100% PDN (notice the lack of a desription??), when more than likely(considering its you!) it was done mostly in Photoshop... http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=10937#10937
  12. The way I do it is .1 hide all the layer that I don't want to merge .2 then I flatten my image .3 copy the outcome .4 undo the flatten .5 copy the merged image back to one of the original layers. .6 delete the extra layer(s) .7 then I just show all the layers that I had hidden I know this sounds like a lot but it is easier that using multiple instances of PDN.
  13. trickman: cool thing about this is nothing has to change for people who like it the way it is, we'll still have the custom toolbars eveytime the tool changes. this is just a way to set some defaults for those toolbars. from what it looks like, you could leave the defaults the way they are and nothing would change for you....
  14. I think that the no0b and the expert could be satisfied by being able to select the default tool. The program default could be set to the paintbrush, and then anyone who wanted to could change it as they "discover" the other tools.
  15. Yeah but your still gonna get unwanted distortion.
  16. I don't think so, but someone here might have an idea. You could try duplicating you main layer and blurring the copy then sharpening the main layer and messing with the layer blending options.
  17. is that nicki and paris? I think it would look cool if JUST the girls were colorized. But yeah, that is a little much for this forum.
  18. I actually just based it on a Photoshop Tut online and converted as much of it as possible to PDN. I basicly just used a wide paintbrush and painted the lighter brown on a second layer, added some noise and blurred it. Then I used the same size brush and added darker (almost black) section on another layer around the edge of the lighter brown. I then blurred that and cut around the edge. You may want to sharpen it all a little bit cuz mine is a little blurry..
  19. How about this? You'd probably use radio buttons instead of check boxes, but I was just working with what was in the image...
