Just browse the tutorial section for something that looks cool. Birthday cards vary in design, so theres not going to be a "make a perfect birthday card" tutorial. Just look for ones on how to make backgrounds you think look cool, and some cool font on dafont.

There is a text tool on the toolbar. Its icon looks like this: Just click that, click where you want text, and start typing.

I dont see why this is in this section, seeing how its not related to PdN. This seems like something that should be in the overflow.

Yea, I requested this a long time ago. I hope to see this in a future version, because it makes working with larger images a lot easier. I suggested something like GIMPs fullscreen mode, where you can access all your effects and all that other stuff by right-clicking

Wow thats a lot of plugins. This will save people who dont already have them all a TON of time. Downloading each plugin on the forums individually takes a long time. I wish everyone could do this.

This was canceled (im pretty sure) due to the fact that fewer and fewer users dont have the .net frameworks. It comes with most new computers and vista as well.

Lol. That family guy episode was funny. It could use a transparent background though. Also, some feathering and it would be perfect.

You can also try using Boltbaits and Illnabs gradient plugin. Select the letters you want, then select the same color for the primary and secondary colors (It cannot be black, white, or gray. Also, if you click on the more button on the colors window on the bottom right, Under RGB, you want one of those values to be at or around 255.) Then, use the gradient plugin and check the bubble that says HSV long. That will create a rainbow effect.

I havnt been around too much recently. Ill still pop in from time to time though.

Read the second post in the link that bob posted. That seems to help a ton of issues.
