One way this could be possible is special "vector layers" used in addition to the standard raster layers, like in Paint Shop Pro. I would really appreciate this, but I don't know whether or not it is feasible. If you want to edit vector images, I suggest you use InkScape. Also, would you mind changing the thread title so the "Feature Suggestion" isn't upper case?
