Glitchy82
Well, almost everything has a gloss effect on it, and I want to know if anyone can make a tutorial to do XP style shading for those people who want to be different. david.atwell
As opposed to...Vista style? I don't understand. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Glitchy82
Something with shading of the Start menu like this: Notice the tiny light effect surrounding the top and the fading dark effect towards the bottom. The reason I want this is because I'm somewhat sick of the gloss effect on everything, I want to do something in XP style. Gladi8or2
There is not really a 'way' to do this. You have to follow your feelings, working with a lot of black and white areas, gaussian blur them, and then lowering the opacities of each layer until you are satisfied.
