ryan_khoo
Hello there, I am new to Paint.Net. Please pardon me because I am going to ask a very elementary question but I still cannot figure out how to do it. Ok, I open up the program Paint.Net, then I import in a filename Tryphoto. No problem with that, then I added text to this Tryphoto and saved the amended file with a new filename Tryphoto_amd. The problem is when I wanted amend the text in Tryphoto_amd. I opened up Paint.Net and import in the file Tryphoto_amd, no problem. But then I cannot figure out how to amend the text ? I wanna move the text to another location but how do I do that ? What button to press ? Any ideas ? Please help Thanks
Ash
Add new layer. Type the text on the new layer. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
david.atwell
Adding on to Ash's reply: You can't amend text directly. Once it is deselected, the text has been "rasterized," or made a part of the image; Paint.NET no longer realizes that it is text separate from the rest of the image. A change to this, I believe, is on the roadmap for PdN 4.0. As Ash said; use as many layers as you can, separating different elements so you can change them easily later. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
