artpayne
Hi, I'm new to Getpaint but am finding my way around it O.K., however, I have a problem with a plugin (to create text in a circle or an arc) I have downloaded and installed the plugin into the Effects folder - it is definitely there but when I click on the Effects button it doesn't show. What am I missing? Any help or suggestion greatly appreciated Art
Ego Eram Reputo
Hey Art! Welcome to the forum. That plugin is located under Effects > Text Formations. Do you have that sub menu under Effects? artpayne
Many thanks for your reply. No, "Text Formations" doesn't appear. Where do I get it? Art
Ego Eram Reputo
It's created automatically when the circle-text plugin is loaded. That the sub-menu isn't there tells us that the plugin is not loaded. Please verify you have unzipped the *.dll file(s) and placed them in your paint.net/Effects/ folder and restarted paint.net? artpayne
Thanks for that. I had pasted in the complete dpyplugins folder. Apparently that's not the way to do it. I have now pasted in each file individually and it works fine. Again, thanks for your help. Art
Ego Eram Reputo
Neat that you've sorted it Art. Now got forth and create circular text Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
