Id like to learn how to make the canvas (background) clear

Recommended Posts

Here is the scoop:

-I have a normal rectangular shape photo

-I opened it in PDN

-I used the oval selection tool to select the portion of the picture I wanted to

keep

-I click copy

-I opened a new file

-I pasted the oval shape into the new file

I want to get rid of the white corners of the canvas. When I put this picture on my website, I just want to see the oval part I cut out.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

At this point, you could do the following:

- Press Ctrl-I to invert the selection

- Press Del to delete the outside part

Save the picture in PNG or GIF format.
