Alpha Channels (.png) Update With Pictures :)

With .png Paint.net supports the different transparences with .png. but how do you get the alpha channel from, it if you can? I am trying to use hte image in a differen program(Game Maker)

Ok, to make it a bit esier to understang here are some pictures :D

You could try this plugin:

It works like this:

Or, if you're looking to go the other direction (that is, import your alpha values from a file), try this plugin:

There is no "alpha channel object". Every pixel has an alpha value -- it is not a separate entity.

However, that does not remove the benefit of having something like layer masks, which non-destructively transform the alpha channel. Paint.NET just won't have something like that until v4.00.
