Generic1
Hello, I have draws a logo for my homepage the last few days - It was quite hard but now I'am almost satisfied. Here it is: I find it quite OK but I'am not satisfied with the edges. Is there any possibility to make the crossover from the logo to the background like a light does? I would be glad for any suggestion. Thanks a lot and happy christmas. Generic1
xod
You should have read the relevant article by david.atwell here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=17049 I think the title of this post should be changed to something like this: Warning! Before starting a project in Paint.NET read this: DPI and YOU - Understanding Resolution for Print and WEB First page should look like this: Happy Christmas to all! Ishi
Is this whole logo sitting on one transparent layer? I don't know if you tried a plugin called AA's Assistant before. Its one of my favorites as it smoothens the edges.
david.atwell
xod- thank you for recommending my tutorial, but I'm not sure how it's applicable here. Oh, do you mean the bit about "work large then shrink down to save?" If so, then yes, that is what should be done and will probably help greatly here. 1 Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

TechnoRobbo
Is there any possibility to make the crossover from the logo to the background like a light does? Do you mean put glare on the logo like this? Or maybe smooth the edges like this? Or something else? If it's smooth edges here's an example using TR's SplineMaster: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27512-trs-splinemaster-v133-a-line-maker-dec27-2013-utc/ Edited December 28, 2013 by TechnoRobbo 1 Quote Go out there and be amazing.
