klaxxon
TIFF files exported by PDN are not recognized by a lot of programs including DjVu Imager or DjVu Small. How can I fix this? Edited March 25, 2013 by klaxxon
Ego Eram Reputo
Don't use TIFF. Rick has often said that TIFF support is provided on a "best faith" basis. If it works, that's cool. If not then that's a shame. Paint.NET does not support 1-bit or multi-layered TIFFs. TIFF is well past it's use-by date. Why not investigate a modern format? klaxxon
I'll try to explain why I need this format.I want to digitize my personal library and use Scan Tailor for it.This program only works with TIFF. Sometimes I need to delete oradd text on image and then use PDN and save as TIFF.But as I said this format is not recognized so I am forcedto save as JPG or PNG.But these formats only is not suitable for other programs I work with.Ok, I'll try another solution.EER, Thanks for your reply. Ego Eram Reputo
I had a quick check of the Scan Taylor documentation. You should be able to import other file formats. Once you've selected the files to use in the project (supported files types are *.tif, *.tiff, *.png, *.jpg, *.jpeg), From the User Guide at this URL: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/scantailor/index.php?title=User_Guide However, output files are restricted to TIFF. You would have to edit the input file(s) and reprocess the project to generate a new TIFF output. klaxxon
You would have to edit the input file(s) and reprocess the project to generate a new TIFF output. This is of course the solution but it requires more time. Output files are TIFF and I assembled it to DjVu Small option User BW (300dpi) into a djvu file. So I need TIFF. Thanks EER.
