u15986 Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I wrote my initials on a piece of paper and scanned it. Saved it as a .png image and now I'm trying to make the background transparent. I'm trying to figure it out from the various postings, but to no avail. Help! Quote
Ego Eram Reputo Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Hi U15986 - welcome to the forum! 1. Select the magic wand tool 2. Click on the background with the Shift key held down (if the entire area is not selected adjust the Tolerance setting in the Tool Bar and select again). 3. Press delete. The background is deleted and replaced with a grey and white checkerboard pattern. This denotes transparency.
