freepam
Hello, My XP is dying and the photoshop I know and love will go with it. I don't want to give Adobe any more of my money at this point. My new Windows 7 computer is on it's way but I need to know if I can open native photoshop psd. files in Paint before I get rid of the old computer. If I can't then what format should I resave my files in and will they be saved with layers? I did try search but didn't find any answer there. looking forward to a new adventure with this program, Thank you, Pam

freepam
Wow, thanks, your Majesty, that sounds exciting. I was just wondering how long it would take me to resave ALL my files. I can't wait for the new computer now. Pam
Ego Eram Reputo
Get a cheap external HDD and throw all your files onto that. A 1TB drive is absurdly cheap storage. When your new computer arrives, plug in the HDD.
