Amateur
Hi, I love Paint.NET, thanks I was wondering what format i can save a layered image so that after closing the paint.net and when returning to open the image again i can maipulate the layers. With some formats it flattens the layers into 1 which is no good to me. Thanks
trickman
Save as a .PDN (Paint.NET) file.
BoltBait
Just save the image in native .PDN format. Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game
Amateur
The images are being put on a website though, i was hoping to save them as .jpg or .gif, the standard formats for images in web development.
Rick Brewster
JPG and GIF don't support layers. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Amateur
Is the best way around it to save an image as a .pdn for further changes and a .gif or .jpg to put on the web or is there a way around it?
BoltBait
No, there is no way around it. Just use .pdn for archival purposes and .jpg or .gif for publishing. Seriously, that's the way everyone does it.
