MUHerd1012
I have a picture of a little girl and I would like the background to appear black. How do I do this?
Ego Eram Reputo
Is the background a uniform color or is your image a photo? I ask because there are different techniques depending on what you're starting with. If the background is uniform, use Alphaspace or Grim Color Reaper to remove it then color a new layer and move the layer below the one with the girl. If the image is a photo with a complex background, then read this tutorial Cutting out images the easy way Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
Sarkut
Once you have cut-out the image of the girl, position a new layer underneath and fill it with black, using the Paintbucket tool. <BR> Edited July 23, 2010 by Sarkut
