BoltBait
Rick, I don't think that effect previews should be showing on the thumbnail. I also don't think checking/unchecking layers should effect what is shown on the thumbnail. The thumbnail should show what the image really looks like when all layers are "checked" as visible. This also reduces duplicate images on the screen which I know was a concern for you. 13_15_4_14_1_18
I agree about the effect previews thing, but I think when a layer is invisible it shouldn't show on the thumbnail, I feel the thumbnail should be what the image would look like if you saved it right then. Just my opinion Quote If you're not into numbers, call me Chris!

Rick Brewster
The effect rendering thing is something I'm experimenting with, and I'm leaning towards agreeing with you. Especially because the preview is always clipped to the viewable area (zoom in and you'll see what I mean ). As for the layer checking thing ... absolutely not. If a layer is unchecked then it is not visible. It's essentially not a part of the image, and thus should absolutely not show up in the image thumbnail at the top. BoltBait
the preview is always clipped to the viewable area (zoom in and you'll see what I mean ). Maybe I don't understand you, I zoomed in and the thumbnail was still zoomed all the way out. This is what I would expect. - As I stated above, I can totally see the point of leaving unchecked layers out of the thumbnail. Rick Brewster
Oh I meant that the effect rendering preview clips itself to the area that is visible on screen. So if you did a blur while zoomed in, the thumbnail still only gets part of itself blurred. I pointed that out just for the sake of illustration, not to counter or anything.
