Plug-Ins Needed: Drop Shadow Effect Outline Object Effect Multi Colour Gradient These Downloads are Safe and from this website. Okay... This is what your finished product will look like: (With your own text) Step One -> Open up a new sheet sized Width:800 Height:300 (pixels) Step Two -> Fill your background Cyan - Baby blue - This will be changed! Step Three -> Create a new layer and add some text to it. Make it big and bold! (Leave a bit of room around it! Im using Font: Franklin Gothic Heavy Size: 72 Bold Underlined Text: GraphicsBoy (You don't have to have this lol) Colour: (YOUR COLOUR HAS TO BE WHITE!!) Repeat but using another colour Repeat and repeat again use the colours in this order 1,Purple (Just done) 2,Pink 3,Red 4,Orange 5,Yellow 6,Green 7,Light Blue 8,Dark Blue 9,Purple When you have done all of them it should look like this: Okay. now Re-tick your background back. then get out your rubber. Rub out all of your background. (I Reccomend unticking your text layer. helps a bit) You may notice you have a few small white bits so if you just do gaussian blur on 1 or 2 that gets rid and gives a nice little effect. Now just save it and there you go Please post yours as i would love to see your stuff. This was my first tutorial so I'm sorry if it sucked. lol MY FINAL PRODUCT: The transparancy and the shape is really nice i think. what about you? Thanks GraphicsBoy
Ego Eram Reputo Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 That's not a bad effect and a nicely written tutorial for a first try! The only critique I have is that the text edges are pixellated. See around the curve in the letter P? That blocky (or stepped) edge is ruining the overall effect. One thing I will ask you to do is to resize your larger images so that their maximum dimension is 800px or less. CarsonWalla Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I'm afraid I might of gotten carried away on the outline thing... Nice tutorial, though. Except it's too specific. | Most Recent Creation |
