TheKracken
Hi all! Tried searching the forums but couldn't find anything, please point me in the right direction if this has been asked/answered before. When you save a image, is the edit history deleted? i.e. Is it possible to go back to the original photo once you've saved? Cheers

TheKracken
OK, but if I click File>Save Is it possible to go back to the original photo? Or is it edited permanently? Cheers
Sozo
Sorry, but unless you backed it up, it's gone after you save it.
PyroTechniques
If you save the image but don't close PdN, the history stays. If you save the image and close PdN, your history is gone. Quote Photobucket Sucks!
TheKracken
Oh Ok I guess that's what happens when your photo editing software experience is limited to Picasa Cheers for the help guys.
david.atwell
Always work on multiple layers, leaving the original pristine at the bottom. When you save, save as a .PDN to preserve the layers. And if you want to flatten+save, append a "1" or something to the end of it so that it leaves the original intact. Alternatively, just copy the image on your desktop, open the copy, and leave the original. :-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... TheKracken
Thanks for all the options David. Hopefully in the future I'll remember to do at least one of them!
