Download of Purchased Paint.NET failed...

Recommended Posts

Hi, y'all ~

I purchased Paint.net today from the Microsoft store but it didn't download or give an option to install. The purchase shows in my PayPal account as completed. It also shows as complete in the Microsoft store Order History. But itn's not in my download files and it doesn't show in my programs.

Does anyone have a n idea of how I can retrieve my purchase? I love the program and decided to buy it tto support the community.

Thanks so much!

Deb

In the Microsoft Store app, you should be able to install it from the Paint.NET page (just search for Paint.NET at the top). There's also a Library button in the bottom left where you should also be able to find it:

This suggests that @DebDye has been using the Classic installer-based paint.net up to now.

@Rick Brewster could you confirm whether they will need to uninstall that version prior to installing the Store app?

Does anything go awry if you don't uninstall first; .pdn file association pointing to the wrong installation, for example?

@DebDye please note that if you have installed any plugins with your Classic version, you will need to reinstall these for the Store version. You'll find the instructions half way down this page: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/InstallPlugins.html
