Pixey
You can try using this tool to clean up from a previous install and then install paint.net anew, from here. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. toe_head2001
Right after the paint.net crashes, please open the Windows Event Viewer and look in the Application log. (Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> Application) The items should be sorted by datetime, so the most recent item should be at the top of the list. Let us know what you find.
