JAA Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 If I have a nice grass texture and a dry mud texture, is there any way I could easily/randomly blend the two to make a new image where it looked like a randomly parched grass? Quote
ardneh Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Put the grass layer above the dry mud layer. Make a new layer above the grass layer and fill it with Clouds at maximum roughness. Copy then delete the Clouds layer. Apply the Paste Alpha plugin, set to - Shades of gray on clipboard. 3 2 Quote
Tactilis Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Very nice tip @ardneh The OP might usefully recolour the grass layer first to make it less green to add to the parched effect. Quote
Solution Pixey Posted August 4, 2022 Solution Posted August 4, 2022 Another way could be to use the Lighten Mode setting: 1 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon.
JAA Posted August 6, 2022 Author Posted August 6, 2022 Thank Pixey. I will try this tomorrow. Looks great. 1 Quote
