Pixelated Cubes

I am wondering if there is a plugin for Paint.net that will allow someone to pixelate an image into cubes.  I am looking for an effect like the following images.

I did see that one.  I didn't think it quite achieved the effect I was looking for.  But, I will give it a try.  Thank you.

Also, you could try this:

 

Make a few different (separate) colored 'tiles' by using the hexagonal grid:

Hi @doctor953 I'm a sucker for anything trekkie.

Within this collection of filters, you will find Grid(Triangular) that comes very close.

Here is what it produces
