Sharpen letters from image to use as font

Recommended Posts

I am making something for my friends and I would like to use a special kind of font (from a logo) to write something. I found a similar font to fill in the gaps of the letters that are not in the logo, but I want to use all the letters that I can use from the logo to keep it "authentic". But the the letters used from the logo (jpg1) are a bit more blurry than the rest and I would like to straighten the edges out to make it look more like the other 'sharper' letters. I have been googling but I have no idea how to call what Im looking for, so im not able to google properly. Any ideas or tips?

Hello @karslan112 and welcome :)

It won't be easy doing what you want on text that has a white background.  If you can find a similar text, like from dafont.com, it would be much easier.

I tried with your posted image, like this:

1.  Remove background from here remove.bg    https://www.remove.bg/

2.  Join the places where the black and grey don't meet.

3.  On new layers select the blank areas on the text (template) and fill with colors.

I ended up with this:

You will also have to use some Gaussian Blur and AA's Assistant and some use of the line tool, to get a roundness on the edges of the S.
