Marron121
I've checked around the forums and while I've seen a couple questions like mine, I didn't get an answer from them and from checking around around internet for a couple of days, so I'm asking here. After updating Paint.net to the latest version, 4.2.15, every time I try to save an image as an image format (.jpg, .png, etc.) it will give me an error "Access is denied". I've tried reinstalling the program two times, and saving into paint net type (.pdn) works, but no matter where I try to save or with what type, it will give me that same error. Pixey
Hello @Marron121 and welcome to the forum You can run your error through the Crash Log to see the answer, which says this: "Disable the "Controlled folder access" option of Windows Defender." Rick Brewster
This is probably caused by Avast antivirus. You'll need to add an exclusion for Paint.NET, or ... and this is my recommendation ... uninstall it (Avast that is) and just use Windows Defender.
